Community partners 

The Delta Child and Youth Committee (CYC) is a coalition of community partners. We work together to build Delta’s capacity as a child-friendly community where families thrive and all children reach their full potential. Membership on the committee includes the following representatives.

Amazing kids belong here! BGC offers a wide range of activities that are good for, and of interest to, children & youth.

Offers counselling and community-building in the form of workshops, events, programs, and services.

Ministry of Children and Family Development 

Supports all children and youth in British Columbia to live in safe, healthy and nurturing families and be strongly connected to their communities and culture.  

Options Community Services 

Collaborates with individuals, businesses, community groups and government to create community resources.

Pacific Postpartum Support Society 

Supports new parents and families.

REACH 

Provides services to children with special needs, and their families. Helping children reach their full potential. 

The Centre for Child Development 

Provides comprehensive medical rehabilitation programs and multi-disciplinary therapeutic services to children with a wide range of abilities and conditions. 

FamilySmart 

Helping children and young people by helping their family and other caring adults. 

Metis Nation BC 

Represents thirty-nine (39) Métis Chartered Communities in British Columbia.   

Family Support Institute of BC 

For families needing support and guidance, from their peers.  

Delta KidSport 

Provides grants to help cover the costs of registration fees so children under 18 years old can play a season of sport.  

Delta Division of Family Practice 

Represents family physicians in the communities of Ladner and Tsawwassen.  

Delta Community Literacy Task Force 

Working with community organizations to improve literacy initiatives.

Delta Police Department 

A community policing philosophy where “no call is too small.” The community can depend on a response to any and all safety concerns, no matter how minor.  

DIVERSEcity 

Offering services and supports for newcomers and diverse communities.  

Surrey-North Delta Division of Family Practice 

Brings together doctors to enhance the delivery of community health care services.  

Progressive Intercultural Community Services (PICS) Society 

Provides a range of programs and services for new immigrants, seniors, farm workers, women and youth.  

MOSAIC 

Offers settlement and employment services for newcomers.  

Pacific Community Resources Society

Providing social services in education, employment, housing, substance use, mental health, and youth and family support services.

Tsawwassen First Nations 

The elected institutions that govern Tsawwassen are set out in the Tsawwassen Constitution.
