Harmonious Classrooms: Fostering Connection, Collaboration and Peace

Child Care Options Resource and Referral program 5010 47 Avenue, Delta, Canada

Envision a teaching team that operates seamlessly, bound by mutual respect and shared goals. Picture a school community where families are not just participants, but partners in a respectful, engaging dialogue about their children’s education. This is the vision of “Harmonious Classrooms,” a workshop designed to turn these ideals into tangible outcomes through the power of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and effective communication.

In this 4-hour workshop, you’ll embark on a journey to:

– Foster emotional regulation and collaboration among children: Learn SEL strategies that help children recognize and manage their emotions, leading to improved self-regulation and increased empathy towards others. Discover activities that encourage teamwork, sharing, and a sense of community within the classroom.
– Enhance team dynamics and teacher collaboration: Acquire communication skills crucial for building a cohesive educational team. Explore techniques for giving and receiving feedback, resolving conflicts constructively, and collaborating on shared objectives to create a supportive and productive teaching environment.
– Strengthen family-school partnerships: Master the art of engaging families through respectful, open communication. Learn how to effectively share children’s progress, address concerns collaboratively, and invite parental involvement, thereby extending the learning ecosystem beyond the classroom walls.
