Tsawwassen First Nations Funding to Develop Tsawwassen Climate Initiatives

In October 2023, TFN received $42,082 under the Province of BC’s Local Government Climate Action Program (LGCAP). LGCAP provides local governments and Modern Treaty Nations with predictable and stable funding to support local climate action that reduces emissions and prepares communities for climate change impacts. With the funding, TFN is exploring the possibility of building capacity internally to advance TFN climate action and support reviewing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. TFN submitted the attached survey that includes the state of Tsawwassen climate initiatives and emission reporting to date.

The project ends March 2025.
